Why choose Julia Reis Consulting
as your recruiting partner

There are a lot of recruiters out there.
Here's what sets us apart — and has earned us a 4.97/5 rating.
We bring our consultant mindset to recruiting
Many searches start vague and stay vague. Ours don't. Before we search, we take the time to understand your organisational context — then align on, and challenge, what the role actually needs to deliver: scope and success criteria. A well-defined role is half the hire.
We move fast - without cutting corners.
Time kills hiring processes. We run a tight, transparent process - so you always know where things stand, and strong candidates don't drop off because of slow feedback loops. Average time-to-hire: 6–10 weeks.
Relevant experience you can feel.
We've spent years working with and inside organisations and leadership teams. We don't just fill roles - we understand them. That changes the quality of every conversation we have with candidates on your behalf.
You can rely on us. Fully.
We treat every search as if it were our own hire.
That means honest feedback, even when it's uncomfortable - and staying involved until the role is truly filled, not just signed.
ENGAGEMENT MODELS & PRICING

Choose the model that fits your situation.

We offer two core engagement models — depending on how hands-on you need us to be.
Classic Search
Set-up fee + fixed success fee

We act as your dedicated external recruiting partner for a defined search. We own the sourcing, screening and candidate presentation - running a rigorous, structured process in parallel to any other channels you may be using.

What's included

Role scoping and candidate profile definition
Active sourcing and posting on our own channels
Structured screening & first interview
(personality, culture fit, role fit)
Candidate presentation with written assessments
Interview coordination and debrief support
Offer negotiation advisory
Regular reporting and update calls

Pricing consists of a set-up fee at project start and a fixed success fee upon placement. In general, you can assume a total cost of 5,000 to 15,000 Euro per position. We share exact fees after our initial call as they depend on your context and the positions you are seeking to fill.

Embedded Recruiting
Your on-demand in-house recruiting team (RPO)
We integrate fully into your organisation and run recruiting end-to-end - just like an internal team would. We work inside your ATS, manage your full candidate pipeline, and own the process from first touchpoint to signed offer.

What's included

Full end-to-end process ownership including all components of Classic Search, plus:
Integration into your ATS and internal tools
(if available)
Management of all inbound and outbound candidate pipelines
Co-designing structured interviews and assessments for all selection stages
Stakeholder alignment and hiring manager support

Hourly-based engagement - between 90 and 180 Euro per hour depending on project size, complexity and our involved team members.

Scope and guidelines on monthly amount of hours aligned upfront and continuous reporting on used hours in a shared document - no surprises. Flexible contract with monthly cancellation option.

POSSIBLE ADD-ONS

Additional Recruiting Services:
ATS implementation, process optimisation & onboarding

Available as standalone services or in combination with either model above.

Recruiting Software / ATS

Selection & implementation
Not sure which recruiting tool is right for you - or struggling with the one you have? We evaluate your needs, recommend the best-fit ATS or other recruiting tools and implement it end-to-end, so your team hits the ground running.

Recruiting Process Optimisation

End-to-end audit & redesign
We audit your existing recruiting process from first touchpoint to offer - identifying bottlenecks, gaps and opportunities. You'll receive a concrete improvement roadmap which we can also work on together if you like.

Onboarding Support

Setting your hire up for success
The hiring doesn't end at the offer. We support both the new hire and their manager through the first 180 days - with structured check-ins, a tailored onboarding plan, early feedback loops and proactive intervention if friction arises. Because a great hire only becomes a great employee with the right start.

Our Structured Recruiting Process
— From Briefing to Signed Offer

Creating a crystal-clear profile
We start where it matters: understanding your organisation, your team dynamics and what success really looks like for this role.
No guesswork. Every step is built to find the right fit.
Before we search, we define what success in this role actually requires. Every assessment stage is designed to rigorously test for exactly that. Nothing more, nothing less.
Ensuring a stellar candidate experience
We pride ourselves of continuously receiving positive feedback notes not only from our clients but also from the candidates we interviewed - whether they got the role or not.

FAQ

What recruiting services does Julia Reis Consulting offer?

We offer two core engagement models.
With our Classic Search, we act as your dedicated external recruiting partner for a specific role — owning sourcing, screening and candidate presentation as well as supporting your decision-making from start to finish.
With Embedded Recruiting (RPO / fractional support), we integrate fully into your organisation and run recruiting end-to-end, just like an internal team: inside your ATS, managing your full pipeline, co-designing interviews and supporting hiring managers throughout.

Both models can be extended with add-ons such as ATS selection and implementation, process optimisation or onboarding support which all belong to our talent acquisition consulting offers.

What kinds of companies do you typically work with?

We mostly work with tech-driven companies between 5 and 300 employees — typically at a growth or reorganisation stage where hiring is business-critical but internal People & Culture capacity is limited. This includes start-ups, scale-ups, company builders and VCs but also forward-thinking SMEs.

Due to our team's earlier professional background, we also regularly support nonprofit organisations in their hiring.

Geographically speaking we are focused on Germany and Austria when it comes to hiring.

How does your pricing work?

We offer two models:

- Classic Search:
A set-up fee at project start plus a fixed success fee upon placement. Total cost typically ranges from €5,000 to €15,000 per position, depending on role complexity and context. Exact fees for your case are shared after an initial call.
We deliberately decided against a fee based on the candidate's salary to keep the costs as transparent as possible for you and remove any possible doubts about our independence when choosing between different candidates.

- Embedded Recruiting:
Hourly-based, between €90 and €180 per hour depending on project size, complexity and team involved. Monthly hours are agreed upfront and tracked in a shared document — no surprises. Flexible contract with a monthly cancellation option.

How should I decide between your two models for a recruiting collaboration?

It comes down to three things: how many roles you're hiring for, how much internal recruiting capacity you have, and how embedded you want us to be.

Classic Search is the right fit if you have a specific, well-defined role to fill and want a dedicated external partner to run that search — without us becoming part of your day-to-day operations. It works well for one-off or occasional (senior) hires where the stakes are high and you need a rigorous, structured process you can trust.

Embedded Recruiting makes more sense if you're in a sustained hiring phase, have multiple open roles running in parallel, or simply want recruiting to feel like an internal function — without the overhead of a permanent hire. We work inside your ATS / recruiting software, manage your full pipeline and become a genuine part of your team for as long as you need us. The monthly cancellation option means you stay flexible.

These questions typically help clarify the decision:
- One role or several?
Classic Search for focused searches; Embedded for ongoing volume.
- Do you have internal recruiting capacities?
If yes, a Classic Search might be sufficient. If no, Embedded Recruiting could support you better along the whole recruitment process and if you like also help you set up your own professional recruiting processes for the future.
- How involved do you want us to be day-to-day?
Classic Search is outcome-focused; Embedded is fully integrated.

How long does a typical search take?

Our average time-to-hire is 6–10 weeks. We run a tight, transparent process — so you always know where things stand, and strong candidates don't drop off because of slow feedback loops. In most cases, you will be able to interview your first potential candidates within 10 to 20 days of kicking-off your search with us.

But honestly, the time-to-hire not only depends on us and the candidate market but also on your responsiveness and collaboration style. When it all matches, we've have also been able to hire in under four weeks in selected cases.

We're early-stage with no HR function yet. Where do we start?

With a conversation. We regularly work with founders who are still running hiring themselves. Book a free 30-minute call — we'll quickly identify what you actually need and what will have the most impact at your stage.

What makes your approach different from other recruiters?

A few things. We bring our consultant mindset to recruiting — every search starts with a detailed briefing session in which we aim to fully understand your context and the required role profile as well as aligning on all other relevant aspects of our collaboration. We then move fast without cutting corners (average time-to-hire: 6–10 weeks). But: we always prioritise candidate quality over sheer speed.

And because we've spent years working inside and with organisations and leadership teams, we understand roles at a depth most recruiters don't. We treat every search as if it were our own hire — which also means having honest discussions about the right candidate with you, even if this might lead to extra work for us.

Is there a minimum commitment?

The Embedded Recruiting model offers a flexible contract with a monthly cancellation option — so you're not locked into a long-term commitment. In Classic Search the set-up fee is non-refundable once the search has been kicked off.

Can you help us build a recruiting process from scratch?

Yes - and this is often where we add the most value. If you're scaling fast and hiring reactively, we'll help you put the right foundations in place: scorecards, structured interviews, candidate journeys, and tooling. Most of our clients see faster time-to-hire and stronger retention after working with us on this.

How do I find out if you're the right fit for us?

Book a free 30-minute call. We'll listen, ask a few direct questions and give you an honest view of how we can help — or whether someone else might serve you better.
